From Livestock Shows to Career Pathways, Global AI Invests in Weld County’s Future

Weld County, Colo. — Global AI, a U.S.-based sovereign AI infrastructure company that develops and operates large-scale infrastructure supporting advanced computing and artificial intelligence, is establishing a series of local partnerships across Weld County focused on education, public services, workforce development and community initiatives.

As the company works to establish an AI data center in Weld County, it is taking a long-term approach to being a consistent and practical partner in the community.

“We approach this project with a long-term view—one that goes beyond infrastructure and focuses on being a responsible and active part of the local community, supporting local programs and contributing where it matters most,” said Michael Cadigan, Chief Operating Officer at Global AI.

These efforts reflect a focus on supporting the next generation across Weld County, both through longstanding community programs and future career pathways.

Global AI’s current and planned partnerships include:

  • Weld County Fair — Presenting Sponsor of the Livestock Shows, supporting one of the region’s most significant and longstanding community events. This partnership invests directly in youth exhibitors, enhances the livestock show experience, and celebrates the traditions that have long defined Weld County’s agricultural heritage.
  • Weld Food Bank — Partnering with the Weld Food Bank to help provide approximately 15,000 meals to individuals and families locally. Global AI will also support community fundraising efforts, including sponsorship of the organization’s Hops for Hunger event in Windsor this fall.
  • Local Emergency Services — Supporting training programs, including use of space for hands-on exercises.
  • Poudre River Initiatives — Exploring opportunities to support local environmental efforts, such as river and trail cleanups and improvements.

In addition to these partnerships, Global AI is working to support long-term workforce opportunities in the region:

  • K–12 Engagement — Introducing students to careers in technology and infrastructure through partnerships with local schools.
  • Workforce Development — Supporting pathways that prepare engineers, technicians and operators.
  • Higher Education Partnerships — Exploring opportunities with local high schools and universities to support classroom engagement, internships and career pathways.

As the project continues through permitting and review, Global AI is focused on supporting Weld County at every level—from agricultural roots to future career opportunities—through thoughtful partnerships and long-term investment.
